Eric Chin is a Senior Engineer in Entergy’s Project Delivery group based in the New Orleans, LA. Prior joining Entergy, he involves with IHNC Inner Harbor Canal Lift Gate project for US Army Corp of Engineers and Engineering Manager for CPRA PCCP Pump Station Project. Eric is Currently with Entergy almost 8 years doing Substation design responsible for Civil and Structural oversight. He has Civil Engineering Degree from University of South Alabama. Professional Engineer Registration with Louisiana, Florida and Texas.


Udit Narayanan, MS Senior Project Engineer, Grid Services, Sargent & Lundy

Udit Narayanan is a Senior Project Engineer in the Grid Services division at Sargent & Lundy. With 13 years of experience in the electric power industry, his primary focus is in electric power delivery project engineering and project management, specializing in substation electrical engineering and design. His technical expertise includes substation relay protection and control engineering, electrical engineering calculations/studies, feasibility assessments, and equipment sizing for large investor-owned utilities, city/municipal utilities, and electric cooperative clients.

In addition, he manages a portfolio of projects involving DER interconnection impact analyses, electric system planning studies, EV penetration assessments, and integration hosting capacity studies for city/municipal and electric cooperative clients. Earlier in his career, Udit worked as a Digital Instrumentation & Controls Engineer for reactor protection systems in power plants. James Nicholson, MBA PMP Capital Projects Manager, Entergy

Jim is a Project Manager in Entergy’s Project Delivery group based in the Woodlands, TX. He has a background in transmission line design and maintenance with 26 years of utility industry experience. He has an Industrial Engineering degree from University of Florida, masters of Business Administration from Mississippi State University, and a PMP certification.


John Schneider, PE Engineering Manager, Black & Veatch

John Schneider is an Engineering Manager in Grid Solutions at Black & Veatch out of College Station, Texas, with a background primarily in substation civil/structural engineering, along with several years of transmission line engineering. He has his masters and undergraduate in civil/structural engineering from Texas A&M University. He has been at Black & Veatch for 14 years.


Chan Tucker, PE, MBA Director of Project Engineering, Entergy

Chan Tucker was appointed Director of Project Engineering in July 2022. Prior to that, he held the position of Director of Transmission Engineering at Entergy Services Inc. in New Orleans, LA for four years.

The Director of Project Engineering provides leadership, direction, and oversight of technical design for substations, protection and control systems, transmission lines, and distribution networks. Tucker is responsible for cultivating a highly functional, skilled, and well-trained engineering workforce. He also ensures that employees conform to established policies, procedures, and standards, and properly trains the engineering staff. Additionally, he represents the Project and Power Delivery business functions in various internal and external steering committees and leadership teams.

Tucker has over 25 years of experience in the electric utility industry, primarily focusing on transmission and distribution operations, project management, and customer service. He joined Entergy in 2000 as a grid operations engineer in Little Rock, AR. Later, he worked as a design engineer in New Orleans and returned to Little Rock in 2008, where he oversaw substation operations and managed major distribution projects. In November 2018, he returned to New Orleans after being appointed as the Director of Transmission Engineering.

Tucker earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA, and a Master of Business Administration from Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska. He is a registered professional engineer in Arkansas.


Catherine Ward, MBA Director, Project Management, Capital Projects, Entergy

Catherine Ward leads the Large Projects, Project Management department in Capital Projects to safely deliver Transmission and Distribution Line and Substation Projects throughout the Entergy service territory as Director since December 2020. This includes providing leadership for project development, definition, multi-discipline design, contracting strategy, right of way acquisition, permitting, construction and closeout. The Large Projects group is primarily responsible for executing projects greater than $100M.

Ward joined Entergy in 2000 as a Transmission Line Maintenance Engineer. Other Entergy roles include positions in construction, project management, continuous improvement, operations, customer service and design. She has filled multiple roles during storm response and is currently the large projects storm branch leader.

Ward received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University. She is also a certified Six Sigma Blackbelt and Project Management Professional.
